Sideline Cheerleading
Showcase your best sideline crowd-leading material. The use of signs, poms, flags, and/or megaphones is encouraged. When competing in the sideline division, it’s important to remember to focus on the crowd, because it’s your job as a cheerleader is to get the crowd yelling with you. To score the most points you’ll need to do two of the following, a cheer, chant, traditional yell, and/or a drum cadence. The judges also encourage your team to use signs, poms, flags, and/or megaphones. Make sure your cheer is easy to follow, visible to the entire audience, and that your squad is actively encouraging the crowd to respond. Remember, for this category there are no baskets, sponge, elevators or similar types of tosses allowed.
- 1 minute 15 seconds time limit
- Emphasis on crowd involvement.
- At least 2 components required from the following: cheers, chants, traditional yells, and/or drum cadences.
- No music permitted. Single drummer or drum line allowed.
- no baskets, sponge, elevator, or similar type tosses permitted.
- No inversions and/or twisting into or out of stunts.
- No single leg stunts.
- Maximum difficulty in tumbling is limited to back handsprings.
- Running Tumbling is permitted only during team entrance.
Fight Song
When competing in the Fight Song division, there is a time limit of 1 minute and 15 seconds. Also, your squad is only allowed up to two eight counts with stunts, tumbling and/or jumps. The judges are looking for level changes, correct placement of movements, and execution of the fight song.

Time Out Dance
When competing in the Time-Out dance division, the judges will place emphasis on crowd entertainment. Make sure to focus on motion placement, spacing and facial expression and energy. In this division, no stunts or tumbling are permitted.
